Need those effortless beachy mermaid waves for summertime? I’ve got you covered.
I have been using a curling iron for ages, and it worked okay, but recently T3 gifted me one of their Whirl Trios to try out, and I must say, I was blown away!
First off the curls:
I like using the 2 smaller wands as those give me the best results for that tousled mermaid wavey type of look. The larger barrel is for large loose waves and looks beautiful as well.
I start by putting the top half of my hair up and split the bottom into left and right sides. I begin curling the back and work my way forward, ALWAYS facing curls toward the back of your head. (You don’t want ringlets in your face … not cute). After that I let down the top half and split those up to 2-3 curls on each side and voilà- Curls that will hold for days.
The wand gets super hot and holds my curls for up to 2 days (It may be longer, but I have to wash my hair everyday or every other.) Typically, I wash my hair at night, let it air dry, and then curl it with the wand.
It initially looks a little too curly and tight, but after I sleep on it over night, I wake up with the most perfect, natural looking waves. This saves an incredible amount of time in the morning, and I can leave my hair like this for about 2 days without having to re-curl too!
I think it gets hotter than the iron I used to use, so it just holds so much better. PS. It is not one of those spinning ones, but T3 does sell those too.
My olive shirt dress is one of my favorite little dresses to throw on for work or for any last minute outing. Its flowey and loose fitting, and so comfy for these heated summer months. This is exact one is sold out, but I found an almost identical one for you guys! My necklace is from Hey Penelope here in Baton Rouge. You can shop any of her items on her instagram here. And these shoes are one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. They’re comfy and so versatile.
